This is really one of those songs where everyone played just what it needed, and no more. That's why it vibes so hard

And this shows why a man like Steve got the call for the studio playtime. He served that song so well with this lovely beat! No overplay, just perfect groove!! Steve, you will be forever my favorite drummer, thank you!

Steve Jordan has mastered the art of “less is more.” His work with John Mayer (specifically the Trio) is living proof. One of the greatest drummers we have.

how in sync he is with the piano and guitar is unreal, so tight yet loose at the same time, the man's a true musician

Less and space is so much more. Brandon has elevated the brand of Drumeo so much with his enthusiasm, intelligence and knowledge of this art and drumming history. 20 inch hi hat sales must be sky rocketing lol

Never knew Steve played on this track!! My band started covering this great song a couple of years ago, but I don't think we ever played it out. Still would love to.

I've been alive for 25 years. This video was the realizing moment Jordan played on The Pina Colada Song. Literally blew my mind all over my walls.

I’ve never clicked on a Drumeo video so fast! Steve is a national treasure. Had NO idea he played on this track after all of these years. His playing with Mayer is some of the most beautiful drumming I’ve heard. Thanks for this 🙏🏼🔥❤️
