Thank God I got a new project to tinker with! I was thinking about actually playing some games on my handheld.

Fun fact, the box art you have set for Stardew Valley in your Android section is a painting I made :) never thought I’d see it pop up in this context

A tip for those who don't want to or can't contribute to the screen scraper patreon -- you can speed up your scraping by contributing media. Find a game that lacks media and add it. The easiest way to do this is find games that don't have videos, find a "gameplay no commentary" video on YouTube, then download a 30 second clip and upload. That said, I did donate and felt it was worth it -- but I also contribute and keep adding threads to my account

Beacon has some significant advantages over ES-DE. You can back up the art you've scraped and then import on a new device. You can split your game list between the internal and external storage. It doesn't constantly rescan your library, so you can start playing instantly. Beacon also returns to Beacon when you exit a game. Beacon is also in the Play Store. Beacon doesn't look as fancy as ES-DE, but it is faster and more intuitive. I'm sticking with Beacon and have uninstalled my other launchers.

Been using beaconsince launch, absolutely the best launcher. Love Daijisho, but Beacons just better and feels cleaner. Great review, but there's still alot more you can do, like the wallpapers and music.if you have Gif attached to your games, the gif can play in the background.

Been using Beacon on my Odin 2 for a while now. I’ve tested many launchers, but this is my favorite. The best mix of simple, clean, with just enough configuration.

This seems so much simpler and cleaner than dealing with ES-DE. I'll have to give it a shot

My favorite frontend! I love that it supports touchscreen and has Android apps integrated. It’s also very lightweight, making it feel snappy, smooth, and also very easy to configure and set up.

Holy crap Beacon is amazing. I finished setting it up before the video was even finished. Will be my go-to launcher from now on.
