Update: ⬛GameHub just updated to allow cloud sync, and 🟪GameNative added Silksong Support 😬

⚠this will likely remove your current save on device and replace it with the STEAM cloud save⚠

⬛Here's what I had to do to get GameHub Cloud Saves
• Update GameHub to version 5.0.0 or later
• Using HollowKnight Silksong as an example, Delete and redownload Silksong if you had it previously
• Go to PC Game Settings for Hollowknight Silksong
• Change "Steam Client Version" to "steam_xxxxxxx" (x referring to some random numbers)
• Change Compatibility Layer to proton9.0-x64-3 (or any proton that's x64)
• Change CPU Translator to Box64-0.37-b1 (or whatever the highest number is)
• Start the game and enjoy
Thank you to Sneaky Snake (drugsgotmenumb.) in the Discord for helping me out with that

🟪Here's what I had to do to get Silksong working in GameNative
• Update to the latest Pre-Release version from their github
• after downloading Silksong, you may need to click the "..." next to the game and "Verify Files"
• All of the settings from the above video seem to work great

They're both still great options. GameHub is cool because it requires no configuration. Something about not having to make an account with GameNative does sit a little better with me...

Valve could make hella money by making their own in-house version of this. Android is built off of Linux, Proton could possibly (with some tweaking) make this possible. There are a handful of games that I'd love to play for a bit on my phone from time to time.

Last comment, I swear - still working on getting the perfect settings for each game out of the box. Until then, I'm happy to help anyone get set up in the Discord. GameNative is open-source and a one-man project so thank you for the support and the kind words!

Hope that Google locking down Android doesn't cause all of this to go away. Linux really is gonna be the future of emulation with how Google wants to force their approval for installing apps on stuff 😬

Steam runs on Winlator and can sync game saves (I just made a guide on it) but performance is an issue still. Gamehub runs the games better because it runs a program in the background which disables Steam.

I'd love to see gaming handhelds be small again. I need a backpack to carry my Switch and Steam Deck comfortably.

The fact that these independent devs can get this working as well as it is really shows what Valve would be capable of if they set their mind to it.

I really hope to see an official steam client running on andorid someday!

This technology is a great reminder to question if any software limitation you find is really an inherent limitation.

If we give more airtime to these apps I think Steam will eventually pay attention. I'm playing Silksong on the Odin 2 Portal and its delightful.

YouTube, with the door locked.

Aegis plays a clean stream instead of YouTube's player, so pre-roll ads, trackers, and fingerprinting never ride along. Drop Shields any time if you want the official player back.
