  You played the clip from Brad … but only included the 70% of CAP part. The 70% of USAGE is just as important. JBs part of the cap extends to 5 years at $320M once he extends this offseason. PG is a short term commit. And JBs part of the USAGE was less efficient than the Celtics want going forward. These were both stated explicitly in Brad’s presser. 👍

  You&apos;re wrong, the factor in this whole deal was 3 years JB had left in his contract and PG has a 1 year and player option that they can work something out, they can hope he opts out or gives them a possible break down of the money into a multi year at less per year.

  Those draft picks aren’t just nothing. Clippers are going to bottom out again and Celtics have their 2028 draft rights. The Sixers are going all in in 2026 just to be in second apron cap hell from 2028 on, plus with Bron on the team, they don’t know if Brown is actually worth a $70m per extension or if Maxey and Edgecombe are supermax guys? <br><br>Sixers new GM is trying to get as many names as possible and hope they all can fit together.

  People seem to keep missing the real take: Jaylen Brown is NOT worth the $70M/yr. that he’ll be demanding for his next contract. &nbsp;There’s only 2 players legit worth that: Wemby &amp; Joker. &nbsp;Giannis &amp; Shai are debatable, but that’s it. &nbsp;THAT’s why JB had no value - it’s his NEXT contract. &nbsp;Also, he must be much worse in the locker room than Celtics are letting on. &nbsp;Don’t get it twisted…the Celts did NOT get sufficient value for JB. &nbsp;They screwed up the Giannis trade by getting greedy. &nbsp;BUT they were going to lose him for nothing in two years (or resign him and kill their ability to win due to the 2nd apron). &nbsp;JB is very likely to be a problem for the Philly locker room - he wanted his own team and ended up going to a team stacked with alphas and now throw LBJ into the mix. &nbsp;JB could turn out to be a ticking time bomb that destroys the Sixers instead of propels them since there’s not going to be enough ball to go around with so many ball dominant players fighting for the role of top dog.

  That home grown clause would make this all different. No way a supermax should count for teams that drafted and developed their guys as they do free agents or trades.
