  Man they did Isiah Thomas so dirty it don’t make no sense and nobody talks about it as much as People should dude lost his sister and was dealing with a messed up hip injury and he still came you play going threw all that to give Boston a chance to win in the playoffs and then traded him with out telling them he was getting traded that why I don’t get mad when these players leave to go to another team

  The Giannis trade did not fall through because of Hugo Gonzalez. That was misinformation circulating on social media. It fell through because Giannis wanted an extension beyond two years and the Celtics did not want to grant it. That is why they were trying to get rid of Jaylen Brown in the first place - he was due for a super max extension and the Celtics did not want to extend themselves financially to the point that over 70% of their cap was tied up between two players. Either Tatum or Brown had to go, and it ended up being Brown.<br><br>The Celtics weren’t really going for Paul George per se; they were looking to get out of Brown’s contract at all costs. George is expensive too, but he is not due an extension and this could benefit the Celtics down the road by giving them a mountain of flexibility. You have to think about this trade a bit more abstractly on Boston’s side. They’re playing the long game.

  I find it funny that any team can do this to their players but it&apos;s only the Celtics you talk about. Players do it to their teams as well, which is why most teams trade a player entering the final year of their contract

  As a long time celtics fan I sometimes wonder If I&apos;m rooting for the right organisation. At the end of the day I watch players and care for them and story of IT is movie worthy. It just sucks that he gave his all to the ones who weren&apos;t ready to give back. Thank you for talking about it more.
