Absolute garbage about the BSA A65 engine. Yes, the oil feed could fail to the bush, and yes, the left big end could fail. But the only way the shim stack could fail was if the crank rotor nut came loose. This is the most miss-reported item. And there was nothing intrinsically wrong with the roller bearing, as long as the crank was set up properly in the first place. I'd ask this scammer to take note that just about every modern plain bearing engine feeds oil to the crank through a bush of some sort against rotational forces. My Yamaha CP3 engine, and my R75/6 engine, for example. One thing was right though. The oil pumps on the BSA unit engines were, and are, a weak point. Finally corrected on the last 2 years' production engines. Lack of oil change frequency was by far the main cause of early engines' expiration imo. Also remember that there are very many A65s and A50s still cruising all over the world, having survived being the worst engines ever.
