108: The Dude in the picture is not Masamune Shirow haha. Its Toshihiro Kawamoto. The character designer for cowboy bebop and others.

Unpopular opinion: the live action movie wasn't as bad as the internet makes it out to be, but that doesn't mean it was amazing.

I imagine getting a new body in GITS would be like getting a new car. (Very expensive...)

ghost in the shell was waaaaay waaaaaaaaay beyond its time , we just now struggle to understand the concepts behind it and its been like 30 years and we have soo much tech now , it feels like asimov writing about AI and tech back in the days when the transistors were barely invented

The original movie had more product placement than you’d think. For example, there are Fanta logos on the Ferries and a Yamaha TV appears during the interrogation scene after Section 9 arrests the Garbage Collector.

As for my most favourite entry in the franchise so far, the Original Film and the 2017 Remake are fantastic, but I think SAC is my most favourite.

The haunting wedding theme was a subtle hint on how 2501 merges with Motoko in the end, basically a marriage consummation.

3 TV versions had it all..... Killer Soundtrack, tone and McGlynn plus the perfect ''look'' for Major.
