I started a garage door business with 0 experience for this same reason

I highly recommend you do the same. Startup cost is near 0 if you focus on repairs, average ticket is 600-800 with only a 10% COGS.

You’re much smarter than me, you got this.

Social Media is full of information telling people what they want to hear and it ends up costing them. The information that makes the most money is the information that people want to hear.

45 and just shut my doors after 5 years. Again! Second business of mine to fail after year 5. Was quite the gut punch. Immediately went and took my CDL so I can get into something with some flexibility while I rebuild.

I'm 100% convinced that you are going to be fine and everything is going to work out. You are plenty intelligent and capable. Look forward now and don't let negativity bring you down. Take massive action towards building your new life and career. Do some physical activity like some yard work for your brother who loves you. Keep busy and realize depression and regret can't hit a moving target. Massive action every day. Let's fucking go bro!

One thing I wish more people talked about is the difference between looking successful and actually having control over your time. Those two things can be VERY far apart. The Rules Behind The Curtain by Elias Morgan goes into that distinction quite a bit, and honestly that was more interesting to me than any of the actual money stuff. Someone can look boring from the outside and quietly have way more freedom than the person trying to prove they made it.

So real 🙏🏼 I’ve sold on Amazon for 10 years and most “Gurus” make more money from their courses than they do from selling.

Even worse are the “Make £20,000” a month on Etsy by selling stickers or something. So moronic.
