I love how Odin was like, "I love you boys but it's my time. Btw, you guys have an older sister and she's on her way. I locked her up because she's a psycho. She's your problem now. ✌"

Point Break... In the first Avengers movie, when Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America return to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s heli-carrier, Tony Stark walks past Thor, taps hi on the shoulder and says to him: "You've got a mean swing Point Break". Point Break was a reference to a 1991 film called Point Break, starring Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze. In this film Patrick Swayze's character was a tall blond surfer guy, and Thor resembled this character. Hence the nickname.

Fun fact: the "Loki turning into a snake" story was ad-libbed by Hemsworth, and Hiddleston actually broke character. Luckily, he managed to play it off like he's reminiscing the good ol' days.

One of my favorite things about this movie was Anthony Hopkins who plays Odin, but also plays Loki pretending to be Odin.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but... the line "he's a friend from work" was improvised from a Make-A-Wish kid visiting the set and watching them shoot the scene and he suggested this is what Thor should say to Loki when he sees Hulk

"Find somebody who looks at you the way Loki looks at the Tesseract."

I feel like the Grand master character is exactly what Jeff Goldblum would be like as a ruler.

In those 2 years as hulk, banner realised how hulk feels almost all the time being stuck inside banner while banner is himself.

Just because it's funny, doesn't mean you can't take it serious. This is one of the best marvel movies, imho, and my personal favorite. This is pretty much the only one I can rewatch and still enjoy!

A few random things that came up...

Odin - Sadly Odin has been dying since the first Thor film. Odin was supposed to go into the Odinsleep to recharge and restore himself in the first film, but his rejuvenation was interrupted by needing to intervene to save Thor and Loki, and without the Odinsleep he has been operating on borrowed time ever since. Loki's little trick certainly didn't help matters, and probably ensured Odin wasn't capable of returning to the Odinsleep in time to save himself.

Korg - Waititi based Korg on the kinds of Bouncers he encountered at New Zealand nightclubs. These were huge intimidating Maori men, who by stark contrast came with the most polite and friendliest voices you can imagine.

Infinity Stones - Yes, there was another Infinity Stone in the last Thor film, but in the end it wasn't kept on Asgard. In the closing credits scene it was delivered to The Collector for safe keeping, whom you saw again in Guardians of the Galaxy trying to procure another Infinity Stone from our heroes.

I could tell from your cheeky little smile you remembered the "get help" scene.
