My theory on the reason the Ancient One prolonged her life was because of the long wait for Strange. The Sorcerer Supreme not only protects the Time Stone, they use it to prepare for coming threats, and to find the next Sorcerer Supreme.

In her speech before she died she mentions that she looked into the future many times. She saw the tremendous gap in time between her natural life span and when the next worthy Sorcerer Supreme was born. And so she used that Ritual to prolong her life, drawing only the bare minimum energy to do so.

Fun fact, the broom falling in the closet, was a complete accident. Rachel Mcadams scream was out of true fear from being jumpscared.

I like how anyone who understands surgeons immediately recognizes the damage done to his hands and what that means.

44:30 The cloak of levitation has it's own personality and it aids Strange when it feels there's no other option at first but eventually bonds with Strange

26:57 Lore: "The Living Tribunal" is the second most powerful entity in the multiverse (the first essentially being god)
I found that interesting how they referenced it.

Knowing that you were a healthcare worker before becoming a reactor, made me even more excited for this reaction.

The way Strange defeats Dormammu is - to me - still the most interesting and unconventional way to defeat the big bad in all the MCU movies. Also, the way he keeps insisting he's "Doctor" Strange, not just Mister Strange is really funny to me.

In The Winter Soldier Doctor Strange was on the list of people to be eliminated. This was before we knew Doctor Strange was going to be made. At the time, i thought it was an Easter egg, but obviously, now we know it was foreshadowing.

Re: his hands, I believe he absolutely could regain full use of them but chooses not to. It isn’t prominent but there is a disability subtext to the film. He originally wanted to cure his disability so he could go back to living his old life, but instead he found a new life that is just as if not more fulfilling than his previous one, that he can live with his disability rather than in spite of it.
