One thing I will say is that I really hate how people view failed military projects as "All the money spent was wasted on nothing." <br>Like there was nothing learned, nothing made, nobody got paid for their work, no careers were formed. Failed research projects are only truly failures if nothing was learned from the research

When people can't understand how a project can stay secret for years is to compartmentalize. One team working on specific part, with no idea of what that parts goes too. All they know is they have to figure out how to make that part work under a set of parameters.
