  I still remember watching Dead Man’s Chest in theaters and seeing the ending where they teased Barbossa’s return. NO MCU post credit scene will ever top that moment for me.

  Personally, I ALWAYS loved 2 and 3 as much as the first one, but it's made me so happy seeing them so thoroughly reappraised in the years since that the pervading opinion now is they're ALL THREE something still so rare and particularly special in cinema - a properly PERFECT movie trilogy ... pretty much ...

  I remember seeing that new Disney logo before Dead Man’s Chest in theaters, hearing “oooh”s from the impressed audience. Then proceeded to witness a badass movie

  A super cool detail : <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTFPdKQgHL4&amp;t=7269">2:01:09</a> the reason the lockets sound different although it’s the same tune is because Davy Jones’ mecanism is deteriorated for being played over and over while Calypso’s locket mecanism is like brand new.

  I can’t thank YouTube enough for recommending me this video. It fully feels like a behind the scenes documentary on the franchise! I was worried this video might be ai slop as I’ve never seen this channel but my doubts quickly went away as it is evident a real human with real passion took the time to put this wonderful video together. Awesome work man.

  I&apos;m a simple man..<br><br>I see a 2hr retrospect on a medium I enjoyed, I click.<br>To think I went to watch Spider-Man 3 with my younger brother instead of At World&apos;s End with my Mum &amp; Sister, who were Big fans of the franchise by that point...<br>Gawwd, cinema was a treat during the 2000s.<br><br>I know Depps performance as Captain Sparrow is the highlight but, for me, Geoffrey Rush&apos; performance as Captain Barbossa in the 4 movies is my kinda pirate.<br><br>Elizabeth learns the ways of pirates from Barbossa,<br>Will learns from Jack.

  I think part of the reason a lot of people (including my younger self) thought the second and third movies were low brow is because they were so complicated that the low brow stuff was all we could pick up on. Watching the movies again has given me a great appreciation for the density of the writing in them.
