  This is magnificent. How elightening. I was never taught these things as a fundamentalist evangelical. I was always taught grace was, “divine, unmerited favor”. And that’s about as far as it went.

  AMEN! Grace and Truth in us IS the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ. It&apos;s what helps us to want to do and do the things that please God by activating our faith (Ph 2). It&apos;s what enables us (dunamis - power) to withstand the attacks of the enemy and persecutions of men (2 Cor 12).

  I like to think of God&apos;s grace as divine enablement for our disablement - and yes that is power. What is weakness if not the inability to do certain things. When we know we cant do things and we rely on the Lord to do it for and through us which is his power resting on us. Its more than endurance, its more than that its enablement to do what we cannot do. It cannot ever be attained through self sufficiency, self &nbsp;reliance or self effort - why would God rest his enabling power on us when we think we have the power to do it? He won&apos;t BUT he will if we turn to him dependently in our totally powerless weakness.

  Donald Whitney should watch this.<br><br>I think pastors have a tendency to be seeker sensitive, hence they don&apos;t preach the supernatural grace of the Gospel (for their church attendance numbers may drop)<br><br>Hence they preach more law, more human rules, avoiding the Gospel and Christ in the OT
