  Odysseus in the feasting hall, looks at the suitors and sees &nbsp;their wanton, savage consumption. I think he’s seeing them as Circe did; seeing past their “disguises”.

  The young woman who got killed infront of Odysseus eyes appeared to him like athena, because she too could have been a God in disguise.

  My interpretation of the film was kind of this deeply archetypal message about how running and hiding from your mistakes/failures/sins will only lead to further shame and misery, while owning them, accepting them and growing from them leads to solace, self forgiveness and retribution. I’m 24 and a couple years into picking up the pieces after messing up a lot in early adulthood and losing a lot of things I love as a consequence, and this film really hit close to home for me.

  the best part of this movie .......is that it might inspire young people to read one of the over 60 translations in english alone so as to understand the true nature of the work .....I hope they will

  @<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfleDmpLIws&amp;t=753">12:33</a> also, she wasn&apos;t just a random civilian. She was the temples priestess. So it&apos;s very fitting that Athena has been appearing as her the whole time. It can simply be read as Odysseus seeing her that way because of his guilt.<br><br>I thought this was a beautiful retelling of the story and absolutely love the movie. Thanks for covering it and being positive

  Scarred face of Helen totally sold me that version of the character. She is shown as an excuse for war, not the reason.

  that raft moment made me really think about God, and how we should surrender. He didn&apos;t even TRY to stay afloat. inspiring.
