AND, when you give your cart to a customer entering while you're leaving, it builds a lot of community good will for a mere 25 cents.

Carts are also left available as a "paying it forward " gesture to others.

I like that their checkout cashiers are seated, a nice employee perk.

Americans want the same quality of food as you supply to Europeans. NO HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SURUP, SEED OILS or BIOENGINEERED FOOD

I have been impressed that Aldi's provides seating for cashiers.  When you see a company taking their stff into consideration, I feel secure as a consumer.

If you have adhd or visual/sensory overload, Aldi is a great store to shop. Do we really need 17 different kinds of ketchup?! Aldi has 2 or 3. That’s all I need.

I never put my cart back in the rack.  As I am leaving the store, I give it to another shopper. I have also had other shoppers give me their cart.

I do shop at aldi but just because a product is made at the same factory as a major brand doesn’t mean the use the same recipe

In my neck of the Midwest, a lot of us "pay forward" carts. It's a quarter, 1/4 of a dollar. It's a simple way to be nice.

As a German I am happy to see how well Aldi is received in the US. They are really excellent retailers with a strategy refined in decades.

My Aldi pro tip is, the best container for my groceries is a box. Since the produce isle is usually the first or second in the entrance path, check the produce boxes to see if any are nearly empty and take one, empty it into the box below it. Or if the employees are working there and have a cage full of boxes, fish out a good one. I prefer these as they are easier to stack things in the cart, and easier to place on the seat of my truck when I'm done. If it's a sturdy box, you can reuse it over and over.
