I've NEVER went on a walk that I regretted. If I'm in a funk and I go for a walk, i instantly come back feeling mentally and emotionally better

I walk every morning at 6:00 am. I walk every evening after work. It only ends up being about 8 km a day. I'm 57, 155 pounds, and I have absolutely no issues with my health at all. I know it's the walks keeping my health.

I've been walking the past 19 days, after being EXTREMELY sedentary for the last 5 years. Yes, 5 straight years of zero daily exercise. I feel way better now, and it's not even been a month. I track all of my walks on RunKeeper, and most times I walk over 1.5 to 3 miles, depending on how much time I have.

People, GET WALKING! It changed my life. I often walk just after I eat. Seems to help me digest my food, and I just feel better MOVING after eating, instead of sitting!

Walking a lot every single day and lifting weights consistently 2-4x per week is the most basic and effective combo for health/longevity there is.

WOW I'm a clerk at a supermarket now for 25 years. i run the self scans. i am constantly almost non-stop walking to one of our 8 self scan stations to help each customer just about all the time. Then i push all the carts in our store when my work is closed every night. I do a full walk in our massive works parking lot looking for shopping carts. I don't drive so I walk home from work 1.23 miles a night. Tracked by my pedometer. I do this five days a week. 40 hours a week. i can verify this doctor in the video 100% correct. From my own lifestyle.

I’m 70. My wife is 66. Every day we do this… 1.5 hours high weight resistance in the gym. I press 110lbs, curl 46lbs, 30 mins on the stationery bike.. in the gym, every day. 7 days. . Then every day, 45 mins brisk walking. We’ve done this for 10 years. Every day. We’re lucky. Our apartment building has a gym. We have a lovely suburb to walk around as well. We’re very fit. We feel very good.

I once were robbed on my way to bus station to get home. They pointed a gun at my side, and took my bag which contained my very economic lifeline. Laptop, phones, wallet, ID, etc. I was shocked, and had to walk home because of no money. I kind of shut my brain to deal with it at home. By the time I got home, I was doing fine, no anxiety, very calm. I just calmly made some plans to adjust myself till i took a year to get everything o' track again. Since then, each time i felt flustered, I take a walk.
