  So many of us LOVE Conchita--her talent, her hard work, most of all HER AUTHENTICITY!!  We are blessed to have her still involved in tennis..

  Many of us will never forget Conchita beautiful passing shots and backhand that day and indeed that whole tournament. She’s certainly not forgotten and she was the queen of clay for a while.

  Conchita always be my absolute favourite tennis player. Nothing will chage it because I could see almost the begining her unique style and light, I could see throught everything else, I could see the beauty in her game. No matter what numbers, headlines, people say. She is eternal, like her tennis game. So thank you very much, Conchita, for your inspiration

  Conchita, you are Queen. We enjoyed watching your amazing matches. You were the best Spanish player, one of the best in the world. I will never forget that Wimbledon final. You made me so happy.   I loved her beating Martina in that Wimbledon final, and yes, the media wanted Martina to win No. 10. Martina also had a huge ego, so she probably made sure she was in the spotlight.  I certainly remember Martinez winning!!

  Spaniard here. What happened for many was that it was obvious Conchita had much more potential than Arantxa, but Arantxa fought more or thats how it was seen. Arantxa has multiple grand slams titles and many more finals, so i think its a bit unjust for Conchita to say she had more titles as something that defines a career.<br><br>Of course I loved Conchita but it was so frustrating to see her weapons, a huge drive, great backhand and serve but lack of aggression and fighting spirit.<br><br>And still she had a great career.
