  About a month ago, I broke up with my Chinese girlfriend, whom I had dated for a year and a half. After I broke up with her, she told me I broke her heart and said the most amazing, poetic, flattering things to me by text message. Before then, I could barely get the time of day from her by text message. Most texts from her were only one word. I felt like I was being taken for granted. But if she really means all the things she said to me over the past month, then she may actually have been in love with me, but she was unwilling or unable to say it. Women are so confusing.

  I dated a few Chinese women who were very &quot;reserved / cold&quot; so it was difficult at times to understand certain situations.

  Very good Miss Moon. The most important in a good long relationship is two people working hard full time on their relationship to make it work. Of course mutual respect is important. I’m married now but when I met my wife the first thing I noticed was her eyes. I believe the eyes are the path to the soul. Inner beauty is more important than physical appearance.

  I dated a divorced Chinese woman with 2 kids here in America - For 2 years she treated me like CRAP - Many time it was like dealing with a 14 year old kid who would stop talking to me when she did not get her way - She was just looking for a guy with money and she did not want to work - It was a good learning lesson.

  Someone who is kind to her parents firstly, kindness is the one thing above all else. Next, reasonably good looking, at least attractive to me. It&apos;s important to be able to speak good English and be willing to learn some Mandarin. Accepting cultural differences is a big thing, willingness to learn about each others countries is so important. She should be your best friend and vice versa. The ability to laugh and enjoy the different cultures would be on my list too.

  I love to cook and clean. I would prefer to be the one who stays home and takes care of the home. I always say it&apos;s best to have mutual love, respect and kindness for each other. My wife has to be loyal and honest. I hope I can find her some day. or maybe she will find me.
