  I'm a white guy living in Hanoi. What I have noticed, is that a lot of the local men here tend to like it when local women look "less" Asian, which somewhat explains why so many women here get nose jobs, get double eye lid surgeries, fake breasts, whiter skin, dyed blonde hair etc, and a lot of western guys are actually attracted to Asian attributes. The amount of times I've been having a conversation with a female friend here, or someone I'm dating, about how they want to change something about the way they look is absolutely wild. It is constantly happening. I feel like I'm surrounded by some of the most beautiful women in the world and none of them are happy with how they look and all want to make drastic changes. And the women that have gone ahead and made those changes, all look the same. The reason guys here say a girl is a 6 is because she has darker skin and hasn't changed her nose or something. It's nonsense.

  I a chinese once blurted out &quot;foreigner / white men would love you&quot; to a chinese lady after she said nobody likes her. she has very asian attributes. and tbh, i didn&apos;t think much of it. just within a couple of years, she gotten along with a handsome Caucasian. <br><br>Well, I wasn&apos;t wrong and she got a better man for herself (asian women loves caucasians). It was just weird when said out even though thats the truth.

  I&apos;m not handsome at all. &nbsp;I&apos;m the funny so kind of fuckable type. &nbsp;When I dated a Korean woman, we met my Korean male friend at a pub one night. &nbsp;When she went to the bathroom, he leaned in and told me that &quot;in Korea, she is not pretty. &nbsp;You can do better.&quot; &nbsp;I leaned closer and angrily told him with my finger in his face that I don&apos;t give a fuck what Korean society thinks because that woman surprised me at my apartment with a cake, ingredients to cook my favorite Korean food and a few small gifts on my birthday. &nbsp;And it was a weekday. &nbsp;She&apos;s the only woman to ever do that in my entire life and it made me feel emotions I didn&apos;t know I had. &nbsp;That is real beauty. &nbsp;<br><br>I think part of what people forget is local men or women date outside their culture because they&apos;re tired of the burdens placed on them by their culture.

  I&apos;ve never really thought if my girlfriend is attractive to others. We often talk for hours about nothing and even if we haven&apos;t spoken for a week, we start off the conversation as though there was no break. &nbsp; She isn&apos;t a pushover. &nbsp;She&apos;s a bit feisty but fun and determined.

  I don&apos;t know why. But from my youth, my white self has always been attracted to the Asian aesthetic. <br><br>Korean, Chinese, Filipino, Cambodian &nbsp;... I experience their beauty as a preference. I notice their beauty first in a room full of women.<br><br>My adult life has been blessed and defined by this penchant.
