Man gets just as excited to fish a ditch by the auto shop as he does fishing big lakes. He’s just happy. Love it.

We should be feeding these areas like we feed birds.

No matter how old, how many or how big or small, catching a fish never gets old!!!

I like these little creek and unusual waters videos. They provide an answer to a question man has asked himself for thousands of years, "I wonder if there's any fish in there"?👍👍

We used to fish creeks like that all the time when we were kids. Back when we still had an imagination we could wade through a culvert that ran back behind a busy shopping center and, in our minds, it may as well have been the Amazon River. It seemed like every corner of world was teaming with life. Those creeks were full of frogs, snakes, crawdads, minnows, and bluegill. I remember catching a catfish in a little drainage ditch once. It seemed huge back then. Fun video. I might throw my rod in my work van today.

Best kind of fishing there is...small streams, cement creeks, etc. Thanks for taking us with you.

Yep, these guys wash into these ditches from city pond washouts. I've seen it tons of times! It's always fun what you'll find. What's sad is that when it dries up, they all die out.

Here in Austria, you would find brown trout and rainbow trout (invasive) in small creeks like this one.

I've caught small fish in a small creek in a concrete pipe maybe a 2 foot diameter when I was kid. Always had a blast there. Bread balls , and bobber with hook.

That looked like it was once a really nice building complex with  a nice pond / ice skating ring 50-75 years ago in its golden age. Too bad the wrong element had to destroy it. Glad to see the pond is still operating

You make these adventures so fun by getting excited over the smallest fish, which is a great find, now you have another place you can get a guaranteed bite at least in the spring! Thanks John 🎣👍
