Even before there narrator quoted it, my first thought at the beginning of this video was, "Brown eggs are local eggs, and local eggs are fresh". Yes, I was a child of the 70's.

My in-laws have run their free range farm for chickens and cows 30+ years. We get all our beef, chicken, and eggs from them. Lean beef, chicken, and quality eggs have been great to indulge in. The eggs can be a variety of colors.

24 : 07 The fact that a chicken's earlobes can predict egg color completely blew my mind. I've been eating eggs my whole life and somehow never knew this.

I had no idea brown eggs used to be seen as a symbol of poverty. History really changes the way we see everyday things! 🥚

Different colors on the outside but exactly the same on the inside... We could learn a lot from eggs...

Nice video, excellent quality in the scenes, interesting topic to understand how egg sales worked before supermarkets.

I buy eggs from my neighbor, whose chickens are free range. The eggs can be brown, white, light pink, or even light green or light blue, several colors in one carton. Sometimes I share my baked goods with him, made using his eggs 😋

Just keep in mind, the eggs are filled with nutriens and minerals what the chickens eat. And don't say there are no differences between the eggs layed by chickens near home, free, and the boxed chickens in "eggfaktories". The free chickens eggs differ in colour, the yok is orange, the white is yellowissh. It contains more minerals like iron

I had to replay this twice. Never knew this happened

I'm pretty sure my "free range" eggs from the supermarket are being swapped out at some point after purchase and before delivery.
