The Apple III had a 100% hardware failure rate. The official fix? Pick it up and drop it. That story + 29 more failures and the patterns connecting them all 👉📘 Dead on Arrival: https://dead-on-arrival.netlify.app/

I used to love my dad's CB radio! It was fun to talk to the truckers on long road trips and stuff

Betamax was not a flop either. It is very closely related to Betacam, a professional version that started out using the same cartridges, and became the industry standard for professional video. Even today you can still find Betacam machines in some post houses and TV stations, to play their huge libraries of Betcam tapes...

Were there ever CB Radio Licenses? While it's possible some rogue states tried to regulate them I think it's doubtful. CB radios were limited to 4 Watts which limited their range to 10 miles on a good day. You could attach a Linear booster and get 100 miles or more but if caught you would be facing steep fines, jail time, or both. I personally owned a couple hundred 8-Track tapes and never heard one switch tracks during a song, that happened with home recorded tapes but not manufactured ones.

08:19 U-matic was most certainly not a flop! It was the professional video standard for many years. Still around into the 90's, and only replaced by Betacam. Silly claim that it was a flop

That is bollox. VR was available in the 90s, I was part of that industry. Frankly it's rearrival in 2016 #was crap.
