  My Father&apos;s Pistol 455 cordite, he was a tank Commander in the 2nd World War, &nbsp;when he was near his demise he asked me to get rid of some things he had hidden for years ,I expected to get rid of some dodgy magazines or something, but not was a Mk 6 Sten gun and 600 rounds, &nbsp;and a 455 Wembley and Scott &nbsp;Pistol.

  When I was &nbsp;a kid growing up here in London there was this little old lady that lived alone &nbsp;opposite us on our road. A proper Cockney and tough as old boots. &nbsp;When she died and they cleared her house they found a Webley service revolver and a box of 24 rounds in her bedside drawer. Most probably brought home by her husband after WW2. Part of me is glad she never had to use it, but imagine the carnage if she ever had burglars! :)

  You have to remember back in 1914 a British &nbsp;Officer also had a stick, in the words of Black Adder I wouldn&apos;t like to face a German machine gun without a stick

  Hey Scott. The loose cylinder is normal. Those guns dont lock up with the hammer pulled back. The lockup comes when the trigger is pulled. I just acquired a MK IV in .38 S&amp;W. Love the old British equipment.

  I have an interesting. 455 Webley Colt. It was shipped to England for WW1 and somehow ended up in my great, great uncle&apos;s hands in a small town in southern Kentucky. He was an outlaw turned town constable
