  The raccoons where I live laugh at all these deterrents. They also put my Lab on the payroll so she does not alert us when they show up

  Threw ammonia soaked cotton balls in the attic the mother raccoon took the pups and left within 20 min❤

  Ammonia-soaked tennis balls worked for only two nights. Now they're playing tennis every night on my deck.

  All I want to do is protect my garbage  ,  a couple tablespoons of raw folgers coffee in your bag before closing it does the trick.... my garbage can has never been touched and I live in a forest area...

  I have a feral cat colony and my property butts up against a wetland...I use ammonia, vinegar to kill fleas along with lime around the base of my house..I use Epson salts...it all works and they get the idea fast

  Best thing is to buy your own traps ,& take care of the problem  yourself. 😡

  Thanks, I will try the cayenne pepper and Epsom salts. I know the Epsom salts work with ground hogs.

  vinegar, apple cider vinegar, hose full blast, smashing a shovel on the cement, clapping, yelling doesnt do a damn thing.  Put a blutooth speaker near it and blast it full blast to those racoon repelant videos of them fighting and banging noises.  After 5 minutes they get up and leave.  Sounds stupid but it works.  These odors dont work and crushed garlic it ate it all up.

  A 556 does the trick but if you can not use one a large trap and canned salmon works if you do not mind letting other animals like skunks out. I had a skunk that almost became a pet he never spayed and actually bushed up against me one night off loading my truck. Once or twice a week in pursuit of the raccoon I had trouble with I would catch the skunk and this went on for several years before I caught the top breeding mommy raccoon.
