Freddie was so much more than a rock singer. This was the first crossover between a rock singer and an opera diva in the history. Montserrat Caballé was one of the greatest sopranos of the last century who was brave enough to dive herself into a whole new musical world that Freddie offered to her, because she very soon realized The Musician in Freddie. They adored each other, became good friends very quickly, both of them had the same sharp sense of humor.

Freddie Mercury recorded Exercises in free love, it was his impersonation of Montserrat"s vocal style. His voice will blow your mind.
Did you know that even scientific study confirms Freddie Mercury had an unparalleled singing voice. That what makes his voice so special was extremely fast vibrato 7.04 Hz and subharmonics. He was able to create several more layers of harmonics than anyone else. Freddie was using a subharmonics by vibrating his ventricular folds, a technique usually found only in Tuvan throat singers. One of the conclusions from the studies was that "Mercury was vibrating something in his throat that even Pavarotti couldn't move and that kind of creates a very typical vocal fingerprint"
check out Queen Under pressure live at Wembley 86,
Fat bottomed girls live at Bowl 82
White queen live at the Odeon 75

you are a really fun reactor..... Thanks for reacting to this song, I hadn't heard this before -- it's really incredible. You can tell Freddie was operatic from the beginning with 'Bohemian Rhapsody', and now this one takes it to the next level in opera. :-)

Freddie Mercury had the most incredible voice! He was a huge fan of opera. He was so honored to sing with her. The band Queen had the most incredible singer with Freddie and Brian May and Roger Taylor also sing. Queen is the band that will always live on because of the talent of Freddie with his beautiful voice and song writing, Brian May for his guitar playing, songwriting and vocals, Roger May for his drumming, vocals and being the person that sang the high notes and song writing, John Deacon for his bass playing and song writing. In the documentary The Show Must Go On Brian May said when a band gets together and they are just getting at the top of their game many break up and lose all that they could have had together. Queen members stayed together and were so lucky to be together and it was like lightning struck once and how lucky they are to have had it strike twice with them by finding Adam Lambert by per chance when they thought they were finished playing together. Adam surprised the Italian audience at their concert this past summer when he sang the opera aria Nessun Dorma in the middle of their concert. He's another singer that can literally sing anything. I saw him recently in concert for his Ghost Hunt tour this October and it was amazing! Everyone around me was saying wow during many of his songs. I can literally see why Brian and Roger picked him to be their front man. He's not Freddie but no one can be. I'll always miss him but hopefully if Queen tours the US next year I will definitely be there. If you haven't done any Adam Lambert songs I suggest him singing On the Moon for the James Corden show. It's with him and just the guitar. Also if you haven't done any Pink I suggest one of her songs like Irrelevant.

ONE YEAR OF LOVE with John & Freddie is an R&B under the radar treat. From the film score for the Highlander, it is a hidden gem. Funny, Freddie may have been self conscious about his teeth - but notice that ALL disappears when he performs - personal freedom!

An amazing accomplishment for Freddie. He got to sing with his personal idol who was considered one of the best in the world. He, along with mike Moran composed an entire album for Freddie and Montsy to sing.

ITA: you have a fabulous smile.
