  Something else to add is that when you spare him in the neutral run, his line &quot;I DON&apos;T UNDERSTAND!&quot; isn&apos;t him feeling any empathy or regret and not understand his feelings, he dosent understand YOUR feelings. Someone just like him in the world, exactly like him. A almost emotionless being who just wants to see what happens next shows empathy and love. 2 things flowey lacks. Flowey is genuinely confused and betrayed that you of all people the one person he thought he could understand turned out to be a merciful person.

  this video just made me realize i fell victim to part of undertale&apos;s writing flawlessly<br>i was talking with my friend about undertale, and they said they&apos;d never done the genocide route<br>i responded with &quot;damn, really? it&apos;s got some of the most fun gameplay in undertale.&quot;<br>and they said they didnt want to tarnish the memories they had with those characters<br>i basically just said &quot;ah, that&apos;s funny. i&apos;ve done it seven or eight times by now.&quot;<br>and they looked at me for a moment and i realized how insane i sounded

  No matter what happens in Undertale, if you play for long enough, you become Flowey.   I honestly love how in undertale yellow when you explore flowey&apos;s memories in the nuetral ending you see how the realization of his powers and inability to feel drove him insane. His first few memories are scared and afraid. But in the last few? Youcan tell he&apos;s completely lost it.

  I know Undertale flowey is the main villain, but I would love to see a whole fan game dedicated to flowey just being THE villain

  i feel like undertale yellow does flowey perfectly as shows how insane he has been from his resets, his choices not mattering and with him not being able to feel anything

  Even with the time loop aspect of the game, Toby Fox also includes another message that is quite surprising. The idea that things can’t always just go back to the way they were. Asgore will never have his happy family back. Flowey will never go back to being the person they used to be. And your actions in the genocide run will never completely go away no matter how many times you reset.
