  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mt0-F-ReAgg&amp;t=3213">53:33</a> i believe that here when asgore is destroying the MERCY button, it&apos;s not because you have no choice but to fight, but is because he himself believes he doesn&apos;t deserve MERCY for his actions. The man had no one to truly comfort him or snap him out of it during his rage, leaving him alone with his guilt that he cannot turn away from. I can agree with toriel that declaring war is too far, but she left him when he was obviously not thinking straight and needed someone to help him mourn. To be honest, both are good people, but they were both in the wrong for their actions.

  “Don’t you have anything better to do?” Damn, that perfectly sums up how I ended up seeing the game after awhile. I like to think my own personal ending to my undertale story was at the Battle against a true hero. Undyne bested me and I eventually ended up stopping and saying “this isn’t worth it”. I look back and think that I was stopped by undyne from destroying the world I loved. I like the reading of the game that allows for personalized endings like that, Undyne saved the world in my Undertale story, and I think that’s pretty cool. Great video!another banger retrospective!!!

  In the &quot;good&quot; ending, I kinda had it in my head-canon that Frisk really may have had nowhere to go or a reason for being at the start of it all. Throughout this journey, sparing... no, understanding the monsters in the underground, such as Toriel, Sans, Undyne, Papyrus, Alphys, etc. Frisk may have found the home they wanted and a reason to move forward.<br><br> When Toriel offered to stay with her, I did accept it, not for being hand-held off the screen lol, but for Frisk to definitely have a home to grow up in and continue to experience life and have something that drives them towards a happy life hopefully (not saying Frisk couldn&apos;t have done that in any other way, but it feels right to me). In a lot of ways, the choice to stay sooner (i.e. just stop playing when Toriel initially takes you in.) It really didn&apos;t give Toriel or Frisk a choice, nor did it really make an old ruin home. What makes it home to me anyway is that there was a clear choice at the end not due to circumstances, not due to necessity, but due to love. <br><br>Frisk can leave at any time, but when they are ready, not when I think it so. It sounds ridiculous, I suppose, thinking of these characters in a game worthy of some kind of choice once the game ends when there likely isn&apos;t, definitely isn&apos;t, but I can&apos;t help but feel this way. It still amazes me that a game can make my feelings surface in such a way that it feels like introspective self-discovery over a choice where I asked where the most choice was given to something that essentially doesn&apos;t have a choice but kinda hope it does.

To say Undertale forever changed my life is not an understatement.<br><br>Yes. I do indeed have something better to do. Thank you, Undertale for showing me that.

  Sorry if you’ve gotten this already but you actually weren’t wrong about the pie name! Wether it’s cinnamon-butterscotch or butterscotch-cinnamon depends on which one you tell toriel you prefer

  People get turned off from undertale because of it&apos;s infamous fanbase, but don&apos;t let that ruin the experience for you, it&apos;s a masterpiece that&apos;s not afraid to think outside the box... literally.

  I was over 40, with job, family and a kid, when I first played Undertale. I shouldn&apos;t be the kind of person that would be really impressed with anything at this point, specially because I was raised with videogames and I&apos;ve seen all kind of shit that&apos;s been tried in this business. But Undertale talks to me about my relationship with my son, my choices, and my never fulfilling struggle to get over shit that hurt me and made me a miserable misanthrope - compassion. It talks directly to me. It is like I was in therapy with a very, VERY good therapist, except I was totally caught off guard, like I am at Disneyland and I visibly want to die rather than spending 3 hours in a queue for a ride I am not sure I wanted to go in first place, and someone taps on my shoulder and says &quot;despite everything, it&apos;s still you&quot;. I&apos;ve had my share of deep emotional experiences with videogames before (gotta share one or other in the pinned comments), but not anything has ever got through me and shook me to my core like I was nothing. Goddammit :P

  I think one of the few things that help me realize I am not completely jaded just yet is that I still get emotional watching Asriel do his thing. It still gets me. No matter how many times, it will make me tear up. It&apos;s one of the very few pieces of media that can do that and I appreciate it a lot for that. Well, and for everything else too.
