When I was a kid , I always wanted to do just this. I read so much in outdoor life and I was all about going to Alaska for Brown Bear. Life caught me up as it can and I never felt I had time to go. I m living it in a condensed version of your stories and videos

I have a friend who admires this lifestyle and would love to make a career out of guiding. He’s a true world-class outdoorsman, both in hunting and fishing. He has hunted moose here in Finland and bears in Swedish Lapland! He’s one of those rare self-sufficient woodsmen who gets his meat straight from his own backyard.

Just turned 51. Hunted and trapped my whole life. I have my private pilots license and a Supercub. Heading out guiding this fall for the first time but I think a lot of other similar life experiences have allowed me to fast track the "apprenticeship" . Started a YouTube last year to document some adventures with MDMM being one of a few inspirations.

I have no delusions of myself being a guide. Maybe 30 years ago I could have done that. However, I long for that adventure. I really enjoy all your videos.

Billy, as a guide in Idaho I averaged 10 to 15% tips, that's not alot when your only on a $3500 5 day hunt for black bear, but it was enough to keep my hounds fed.

Billy- been watching your videos for years and really enjoy them. You’re living what I dreamed of when I was young. Although I wouldn’t change the blessed life God has given me for any other path. Keep the content coming. If we never meet in this life I’ll be sure to look you up when we get to heaven and we can share a campfire there.

Thank you for all the great videos. Anyone that as just a little urge to go to alaska you need to do it, if it's hunting fishing or just site seeing do it you are never going to regret it. I had the opportunity in 2024 to go on a moose hunt in Alaska and this was the best vacation I believe I ever had. I didn't fill my tag and would be lying if I was a little disappointed I left without a moose but this was the best thing I ever did by far. So in 2026 I want to try again.
