  I&apos;m 36 and I&apos;m trying to teach this lesson to my nephews. Both obsessed with making money. One seems to understand the importance of money, saving, avoiding debt, investing etc. The other one simply wants to make/spend money with no regards to the cons. Ironically the one who understands money is the younger one.

  49 years old. Been working since I was 15. My first job was a dish washer. Fast forward to 2026 and I work in IT as a project manager. Paid off my house last year on a single income. Finally have zero debt. At the end of this month I&apos;ll finally hit $1 mill liquid net worth. I&apos;m tired boss.

  Black man here 41 been investing in myself since I was 28 years old. Let me tell you the amount of redicule I&apos;ve endured being a black man, who has always preached investing in your own future financially and physically is unimaginable. Progress will be slow for most of us, but like anything worth your time results and gratification will be delayed. Once it works and your discipline pays off the people around you will follow your example because your life will yeild results their undisciplined lifes&apos; hasn&apos;t.
