  I learned some valuable lessons from a couple my parents were friends with. Both had poor health but couldn't stop working. Simply because of their insane spending habits. When the 5 year old car was about 2 months away from being paid off in full, he traded it in for a newer one with higher monthly payments. If they got a tax return it was spend on new tv's and other crap instead of paying off their massive amounts of debt. They didn't have credit cards, just the BNPL of their time (1990s).

  I'm happy with my lifestyle. No vacations, no bougie crap like nails, hair, massages, we drive our paid off cars until a tree falls on them. But I can easily afford to take care of my own four kids and seven cats. Nobody is spoiled but we've never had to worry about putting food back at the grocery store check out. I consider that RICH 👍🏻🙏🏻

  Live below your means. Save and invest like a fanatic! Stop eating out so often, Absolutely no Door Dash or Uber Eats. Make your own coffee, no more Starbucks!
