This is a completely original song, there is no song like this in any of the Tinkerbell movies.

I love that Lydia uses "darling" in this song, since that's also Wendy's last name, which I think is a fun little play on words: "Wendy, darling, you've picked the wrong girl to fight" vs "Wendy Darling, you've picked the wrong girl to fight" and "Then darling, I'll be coming for you" vs "Then, Darling, I'll be coming for you".

So, it is an original song, but The Lost Boys throwing rocks and the mermaid's "attack" were canon events that happened in the movie. Tink had been jealous of Wendy and told them she was a bird, and that it was a game to try and shoot her down. Same thing with the mermaids, they told Peter when he rescued her from them that they were "just having a little fun. We weren't going to hurt her." Which is why they look so upset when Peter attacks them back in the video. So, while the song isn't a flip on any of the film's songs, it is a flip on some of the events that took place.

Let’s remember, Peter Pan story was always dark and the two previous ways Tinkerbell tried to take out Wendy are real in the original story.

The way Tinkerbell flew around Wendy to make it look like she was trying to catch her with pixie dust (like the other fairies were)... Oof. Totally guarantees that Peter will think Wendy was lacking faith or trust.

Also, the way she pushes her face down looks so brutal, but honestly, it would increase the chance that her death is immediate rather than her dying slowly from being impaled somewhere else.

The artist did a fantastic job.

So under Lydias video i saw a comment ehich i thought woudl be interesting to share here. Someone found Tinkerbells movement by the end around Wendy too deliberate and the running idea is that she did it to look like she was trying to save Wendy like the other fairies saved the lost boys so it would look like she was trying to dust Wendy in pixie dust and Wendy died because she didn't either believe or trust in the fact she'd fly which is honestly so sinister and DEVIOUS and i love it

My fav lyric is that 'You need 3 things to fly, let's see you try when I remove mine'. It HITS. Especially if you've watched the Tinkerbell films and Faith Trust and Pixie Dust are like a group chant so it's what you think of when you think of Disney fairies.

And while it technically doesn’t count, the fairy you see Tinkerbell holding in her arms, dying, IS from the Pixie Hollow movies and, to the animatic creators best moment here, is Fawn. Fawn DOES die in one of the movies, but gets brought back (permadeath in a cutie movie about pixies in a Disney franchise? Nah). Tink just couldn’t save her in time here.

A ton of people have mentioned how Tink seemingly pretends to try to rescue Wendy but let's not ignore that when Vidya rescues Peter she doesn't do it by giving him pixie dust she holds him in place with her wind because if he could fly under his own power he would've saved Wendy just like he did when Tink first tried
