  I go to AA, not just go to meetings, but get involved with service; volunteer to be the coffee maker, <br> set up/clean up and Secretary meetings. I al found a new passion for Bicycling 👍

  I love what she says about filling yourself with information and continuing to try and not give up. Just today I wrote in my journal. “I may not be quitting alcohol today, but I will not quit trying for more and more sober days until my “one day” “ <br>I’ve been on this journey for so long and I’ve given up, and almost given up time and time again. But it’s podcasts like this that keep me going. And it’s not even that I need to “quit” drinking necessarily, just need to stop quitting on myself. To keep trying one breath, one moment, one day at time. <br>I’m definitely tired of falling down the alcohole and looking forward to being free of it “one day”

  4 box wines and a case of beer a month. &nbsp;<br>Rehab.<br>Past5, 6 years.....nothing. <br>Not even 1.<br>Home, dinners, bbq, wedding...nothing.<br>Im ok, no craving, no thoughts good, bad. Just dont want, need it.<br>If anyone drink around me, no big deal. <br>Im free.😊❤

  I had a history of Alcoholism on both sides of my family as well. Since I was an accomplished distance runner in high and 2 years of college, I didn&apos;t worry about it. Those alcoholic family members where in ww 2 &amp; Vietnam. Ther were warning ⚠️ flags like a bad DUI, my version of Chappaquiddick. Sobered up for 7months and came up with a new drinking strategy, where I would stick to just 🍷 wine.<br>To make a long story short events and experiences in life had my drinking up to 1.5 liter bottle a day, not to mention, putting cream liquor in my morning coffee. The last 3 months of my drinking looked like the movie, leaving las Vegas. Currently sober for 3 years &nbsp;🎉

  Thank you for your story. I&apos;m over ninety days sober. I totally relate to everything she said. My parents were full blown functioning alcoholics. My mom died two years ago, ,at 70 years old, due to smoking and drinking. I didn&apos;t start until I was 36 years old. I&apos;m now 55. I&apos;m sober, and happy. I love not having a hangover every day. I to, do therapy weekly via zoom.

  Boy am I lucky. My parents don&apos;t drink (well half a glass of wine maybe once a month or a beer at a social event), my school friends mostly did not drink... so there was never any peer pressure.
