No matter their differences, they produced many well-known iconic hit songs during that period.

Dennis is legendary. I’d love to see them settle their bullshit and get back together.

They may have had their differences, but no one can deny the legendary music they made together

When I was growing up in 70's/80's there was nothing wrong with a rock band having a combo of great rockers & great ballads.
Styx had creativity, style & substance.

Styx was my very first concert at the Long Island Arena, in Commack NY -- 1978. It was the Grand Illusion Tour (a band called "Starz" opened up for them). DeYoung played a white grand piano. It was "the best of times" (pun intended) as a 17 year old Junior in High School.

Their music stamped an indelible mark on my life, influencing me to take serious my own singing & songwriting ability as a Keyboard Player in my all original band, which led me to eventually opening up for John Waite when "Missing You" charted at #1, as well as being in a dozen Teen Magazines from '85-'88, and playing on stage with Richie Sambora & David Bryan of Bon Jovi in '87...though the Record Deal remained elusive. The Lord had other plans for me, like being a Pastor of a Christian Church for many years.

They made a lot of amazing music together. It's unfortunate they couldn't get along because, at the end of the day, it's the fans that suffer.

I still recall watching Shaw open for Rush back in the late 80's.
