Alex is such a great addition to this podcast between Larry and Grant. Kudos to who made this happen.

I'm 71 years old. I watched every single game that Joe Montana played as a 49er. It's been 36 years we've been waiting for a quarterback who played like Montana. Montana was not big he didn't have a fantastic arm. But he played with touch and anticipation and truly understood the offense that he was operating. This is Brock Purdy today

I'm a huge Brock Purdy fan, became a niners fan following him from Iowa State.

I can say unequivocally he is a different player now than he was in college. And he was the second coming at Iowa State in college.

He built his heart at Iowa State, but built his brain at San Francisco under Kyle.

It's amazing to see. He's going to have some real adversity this season, he's going to make some mistakes, but I don't think he's even been more prepared to navigate it.

I asked Bill Walsh why Joe Montana, because I wasn't convinced. Bill said "He's not the biggest, not the fastest, doesn't have the strongest arm but has the best football mind that I have ever come across. Sounds like Brock Purdy.

I am surprised Boone can even utter the words "muffed punt" after that NFC Championship Game.

Even if Evan’s plays as a decoy, that’ll take Pat Surtain away from Kittle, CMC, Deebo, Watkins, etc
