  I lived on Cape Cod as a kid, and we could hear the Concorde go over the house every afternoon. It sounded different from the other planes.

  You fail to mention the real reason the Concorde was cancelled. I learned, from a video from the Mentour Pilot channel, that the crash was studied, and it was concluded, that there was NO WAY to make the Concorde flights safe, and that more crashes would have been inevitable.<br>I truly wish, nonetheless, that I had taken a Concorde flight to Paris while it was still possible. Tante pis!<br>But even the owner of the publishing house where I worked, did not ever take advantage of this possibility, although his wife was French, and they visited her parents frequently. He was a millionaire, but when I asked him if he ever took the Concorde, his eyebrows went up! “Do you know how much that costs?” he asked, shocked. That’s how the rich stay rich!

  I&apos;ve watched many of these when they premiered or off the playlist quite a few times, but I like them so much I&apos;ll watch them again. I came for the history and stayed for the food. LOL!!! Thanks Max. Cheers from Tennessee

  I think its hilarious that they had 6 courses and only 3 hours to eat all of it. &nbsp;Shallots sauteed in red wine vinegar and butter doesn&apos;t sound so appetizing until you remember that when you add heat to this concoction it releases the chemical bonds &nbsp; and then you realize how wonderful food chemistry is

  Lordy, Max - your cruise on the Danube? Isn&apos;t there almost no water left in the Danube? - I&apos;m not too far from it at the more northern section, and we&apos;re all scared witless about what&apos;s happening to that millenia-old lifeline… &nbsp;I do hope it all works out for you.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1FZd7IBx-A&amp;t=1045">17:25</a> I don&apos;t remember visiting the cockpit while the plane was in flight as a kid in the 80s, but I did get the metal wings pins from a different defunct airline, Piedmont Airlines. I vaguely remember the pilot meeting the people disembarking because, well, it was the 80s and it was ok back then, and also Piedmont wasn&apos;t exactly flying jumbo jets like a 747 so there were a lot fewer people to meet.
