  So this musical is just the beginning of the “Hatchetfield Theatrical Universe” (so to speak). It’s a trilogy plus. <br><br>Two full stage musicals: The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals, followed by Black Friday. During the pandemic lockdowns they did a web series called Nightmare Time and Nightmare Time 2. After the lockdowns they did the third full stage musical: Nerdy Prudes Must Die. And then a short film called Working Boys. Every last bit of it set in the fictitious town of Hatchetfield. It is all well worth watching. It is all free on YT, and all together it’s 20some hours of content.<br><br>Enjoy.

  Something to keep in mind while watching this show is that while the singing is diagetic (actually happening in-universe, not just a framing device for the audience) the MUSIC is NOT. So What Paul experienced during La Dee Dah Dah Day was just. A bunch of random strangers trying to pull him into an a capella dance performance. Once you mentally filter out the music, it becomes MUCH more terrifying.

  This was starkid&apos;s lowest funded project on Kickstarter but when they redid it this year that was the highest funded theater project on Kickstarter ever

  Okay so Starkid is a theater company that started when they were in college and did a parody musical of Harry Potter back in 2009 called A Very Potter Musical. Since then they’ve maintained a lot of the same members but also added tons of new ones. They put full proshoots on YouTube for free but they fund their musicals through Kickstarter. They have sooooo many good musicals! This is my favorite though! <br><br>The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals is actually the first in a trilogy. The second is Black Friday, and next is Nerdy Prudes Must Die. They’re all horror comedy musicals and take place in the same Universe (the Hatchetfield universe). <br><br>Another great show to check out from them is Cinderella’s Castle, which is a dark retelling of Cinderella.

  As a HUGE Mamma Mia fan, I will say that it is a fantastic musical in the way it uses ABBA&apos;s songs to tell a story. It&apos;s not a masterpiece like Hamilton, Hadestown, or Phantom of the Opera, but it&apos;s one of those musicals I think is a must watch at least once. &nbsp;It&apos;s very feel-good, and the movie is definitely better than stage, so it depends on how much fun you want to have with a musical because Mamma Mia is a very vibey and fun movie. <br><br>If we take away the fact that it&apos;s a jukebox musical, I&apos;d put it in the same box as Grease, La La Land, Hairspray, and Annie.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWl6zdmAzp4&amp;t=1110">18:30</a> it depends on how long they have known each other. 1+ years? not creepy. if this is their first real conversation beyond ordering and paying then yeah, don&apos;t come out with it like that. he wouldn&apos;t be remiss in asking her out/leaving his number after a few more conversations if she seems interested. the problem is a lot of people can&apos;t tell the difference between good customer service and genuine interest and it&apos;s hard to make a black-and-white guide to that.

  Just started watching, and I&apos;m so glad to see someone new discovering Starkid! Their plays are all amazing, hope you enjoy them!<br>Also, I love you thinking it was going to just be light-hearted, only for the lyrics to immediately talk about killing Paul 😆
