We don't talk enough about how great Bruce Willis is in this. Totally plays against type and it's one of his best performances.

Hearing how Bruce really isn’t doing too well these days. I’m glad we can all still enjoy his brilliance

YES!!!!!! I love this movie so much. As a kid this was my introduction to both Goldie Hawn and Meryl Streep. We need more dark comedies like this in Hollywood.

Ernest was able to regain the use of his hand after it was restored when he took the potion. That’s why he was able to land the knife on the light switch

Lisle is lying. She is hundreds of years old but says 70 because so many people never believe her real age and reject her. She does not take well to anyone ever saying no and has taken out almost everyone who rejects her offer. Her current main goal is money... living forever is expensive and she has castles that need upkeep. She has a lot of people " on loan " using the elixir so not everyone has to pay up-front.
All this was in the original script and filmed but most was cut for time.
Traces of these scenes can still be found online.

Can we just talk about how Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn are amazing!

Meryl is Meryl, but I feel like people don't talk about Goldie enough anymore. I grew up on her films and she has so many outstanding performances - Death Becomes Her, First Wives Club, Pri ate Benjamin, Overboard, Wildcats, Housesitter.

Great actress, comedienne and performer.

I love how the visual effects holds up till this day maybe because they make them almost practical ,which also the reason it won an Oscar

Seeing Elvis and Marilyn Monroe there made sense that she said some of her clients faked their deaths. 💛💛💛💛

Now that I rewatched this, Helen and Madeline wouldn’t need all these touch ups if they didn’t die. Since dying caused their bodies to decay😂😂
