This is a follow-up to my most popular video, "Vintage Items That Won't Sell in Your Antique Booth (Updated for 2026)" but this time I am so pleased to be able to say that this one features suggestions from my viewers! I am so proud of the community we have built, and thank you for being here!

For this video, I made a filming mistake and wanted to include the category "Baby Items." This was a contribution from my viewer @keryljensen978: "Baby related items don't sell, for me. I've bought cute banks, vintage rattles, planters with storks & even a hamper with circus animals. None of it sold."

Thank you Kerylijensen, I have experienced the same thing!

I totally forgot to say I avoid buying anything from a smokers home. After spending literally hours cleaning nicotine tar off a pair of bookcases, I will never buy anything again that reeks of cigarettes.

Although I don’t look for or sell fine china, there is a strong market for complete sets. I work at an antique mall and vintage store and have seen multiple sets sell just over the past few months. With the growth of Facebook groups and other forums dedicated to table displays, there has been an increased demand for complete china sets.

The “no used books” thing is absolutely wild to me 🤨

I’m told I’m the only one who has ever sold frames at the antique store. It started out as something to draw people’s eye, a swatch of color. One of the other dealers says he’s printed out a rectangle of red and taped it to the wall. I figured I’d go one better and frame it. Then I thought, if I use illustrations in the public domain and add some color, even better. Then I started adding a quote from the book or some other text. Then it didn’t make sense not to put prices on them. They sell. I get the frames at Goodwill for $1-$2. I will say i was a graphic designer for 30 years, so I have some skills here and the right programs to make this stuff in the computer and a good printer.

I recently got back into the flea market business after a couple years off. Yours videos have been so informative to me! Im a guy who didn't feel comfortable buying selling the types of items you do. You inspired me to move outside my comfort zone and it has paid off with sales$$ Thank you! Please don't change what your doing. I look forward to continuing to learn from your videos.

If you're not listing your Christmas items until well into November, you have mostly missed the bus. I start listing my Christmas items no later than by the end of August and keep listing until about Mid- to end of October. Then I let it coast through until about end of January. Some people list Christmas all year round, but I don't. You want to capture two markets, those who love Christmas and buy it for their own home decorating and those who purchase to resell. It's the resellers you need to grab early because they don't have time to flip it at the end of November. Price yourself as the middle man/woman early, and watch it fly...esp. if it is vintage.

As a shopper, I've realized that I don't buy cups and saucers. If I drink tea, I use a mug or a yunomi (Japanese tea cup). I don't need more mugs but I am always tempted! And instead of saucers I use little side plates that don't have the round indention for a cup.
Years ago my cousin asked everyone if we had any cups or saucers to give her little girl, who wanted to create her own tea set. I was happy to part with some!

That putting the two mattresses out there and then getting on them and then the cat jumps onto it was magical. He must get on that bed so knew it was soft.
