Long-time booth owner and also have my own 2 shops. Processing items is definitely a bottleneck. We would all rather go junkin' than clean, price and stock. I find "researching" items takes far too much time and I challenge all dealers to simply trust your gut more and get more done. Look up the unusual stuff, sure, but if you paid $10 for a box lot at the auction and wanted that Pyrex bowl you know is worth $50, simply price the rest of it to move and don't worry if that cheese grater sold for $18 on eBay but you priced it at only $6. Pass along a few deals to your customers in this way and make their day!

My booth is 10 yrs old, I'm finding myself a little tired. Most of the buyers/shoppers are good but it's the ones that destroy, tear open sealed items, steal, throw junk on the floor. This is the dirty part of the business. I hate bringing in beautiful mcm trucks and diecast vehicles for the guys and have someone snap the mirrors off and remove the tires, ugh. I try and offer a great selection of items for everyone, I feature mid century, Harley, Pyrex and uranium glass to name a few. I've always done well monthly and when I'm restocking, customers will tell me how much they love my booth. This is the best part of the business! Carry on Teach

Been a dealer for 11 years, the disrespect of customers is the only part that stresses me out. The opening of packaging, not putting items back in the right booth, the trash left behind, broken items... I don't mind anything else.

This video was just what I needed.  Thank you.  My booth is 35 minute drive.  This keeps me from going often enough. I am alone in this venture.  The friends I have are not particularly interested.  My sister is but 2 hours away. So videos like yours is helpful.  And my inventory is completely overwhelming.  What I must do first is figure out what I have.  Lol.  And the pricing takes me too long due to trying to find the "perfect" price.

As a 30 years collector and dealer. Quality, quality, quality. I try to have something for everyone, from the $5.00 buyer to the $2,000 buyer. If something sits for a year. I reduce price drastically even loosing money sometimes. I only buy things that I love. And lastly everything in my huge booth( basically the entire first floor of the mall ) is an actual antique. Junk will kill you.  The last thing you want is for your booth to look like a goodwill

Ive had booths and a shop for 36 years. More is not better. Unless your booth is empty every week. Most people are overwhelmed by piles and dont have the patience for it. Sell what you like and you cant go wrong. Somehow the passion  shines thru. Its an energy thing.

Gaudy is GREAT and don&apos;t let anyone change your mind on that! &nbsp;I am so sick of boring white design trends of the past 20 years!<br>I had my first booth starting in Jan 2020 - right before the pandemic - yeah, that went well! &nbsp;I still managed to make a profit each month for a year, but I let it go because I had a curio-style space where I had to ask an employee each and every time I wanted to merchandise, to come open it for me &nbsp;Huge pain for both of us. &nbsp;I would do it again if I had an open space, but I worry about the monthly cost. Then again, it can&apos;t be much more than keeping all of my inventory in storage each month!

Having a pretty Booth is not the key. Having the right items at the right price is the key. In other words. Say you find a beautiful Adam&apos;s Staffordshire transfer platter from the 1860s and in the book it&apos;s worth $600.00 and you purchased it at auction for $75.00. You sell it for $300 and you flip it. If you put a price of say $400 to $600 it&apos;s not going to sell. People are looking for Quality antiques at a good price. They want to feel like they&apos;re getting a bargain and most collectors are not looking for junk they want quality antiques that are hard to find rare items.😊
