For media requests and collaborations: [email protected] We kicked things off with Chongqing noodles (重庆小面) and red oil dumplings (红油抄手) near the Sichuan Opera House before heading into the city for two more classics: Dan Dan noodles (担担面) and baozi (包子). We took a break in People’s Park, but being a public holiday it was absolutely packed, so we escaped to the awesome Sichuan Science and Technology Museum before finishing the day with a bowl of cold noodles (凉面). Day two started with one of Chengdu’s biggest attractions, the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding 🐼 and it was every bit as amazing as I’d hoped. Then it was on to the super busy Jinli Ancient Street for more Sichuan favourites, including twice-cooked pork (回锅肉) and smashed cucumber salad (拍黄瓜). And after just 48 hours, Chengdu was easily our favourite city in China so far.
