  Poor Lesley Whittle. I always thought her place of captivity was the stuff of nightmares. What a selfish, cowardly, and cruel person her murderer was. He deserves to be nameless.

  I was a 21 yr old when this terrible thing happened to Leslie. I found it deeply disturbing and have never forgotten her name. He should have been locked up in a tiny dark, damp place for a few years and then executed.  As a 72yr female I still feel the same.

  I was a kid when this was in the news and remember it well. Funnily enough, it's HER name I remember, not his, including the nickname, which I bet he loved. How typical that he was the kind of person always blaming everyone else for his own dissatisfaction in life; what we'd call 'entitlement' these days. I don't think I'd realised how young she was, though. Tragic. And the family's grief must have been awful. Masterful treatment of this crime. Comprehensively brilliant!
