  anytime your game crashes in any elder scrolls game, that&apos;s the towers failing and Mundus crumpling into oblivion. this is why each game is less stable than the last

  Personally it horrifies me imagining some poor bandit thug getting their soul trapped one day inside a gem, getting dropped to the bottom of a stream for the next 200 years.. and getting found one day just to be used to put 4% better magic resistance on some leather boots.

  Just so you know, the Lunar Lorkhan theory is a red herring. &nbsp;Note the author&apos;s name, Fal Droon. &nbsp;It&apos;s an anagram for &quot;Darn Fool.&quot; The devs use him several times to exposit untrue theories. &nbsp;He&apos;s also the person who refuses to accept that Dragon Breaks exist, and thinks that Cyrodiil being a Jungle in the past was a Transcription Error. &nbsp;Taking him literally is not intended.

  Something else about the dragonborn dlc is sometimes if you go to sleep on Solstheim you&apos;ll wake up at one of the all maker stones working on restoring them just like the others and its so profoundly creepy when it happens

  What is scariest to me is the theory that the only thing standing between alduin and the next kalpic cycle is his selfish want for worship, he is a cosmic reset button that wants to rise above its station. A butcher that demands devotion from the chickens he&apos;s supposed to kill only for his boss to send a rooster to peck him in the eye. He holds the knife but holds it to our necks instead of chopping and getting the job done with.

  I think a lot of The Elder Scrolls&apos; more esoteric and cosmic level lore is an acknowledgement that it only exists as a form of media, rather than being a physical reality. It&apos;s easy to connect it to real life such as the godhead being the writers, the dream being the collective imagination of those who&apos;ve seen/played it, chim being the realization that it&apos;s all a narrative, etc.

  The first hints I encountered were back in Daggerfall, when one of the in game books on the Daedra called out the fact that the Daedra Princes are specifically Princes, never Kings. &nbsp;Implying there&apos;s something in Oblivion above them that mortals are utterly unaware of. &nbsp;<br><br>As for Alduin, it&apos;s worth noting we don&apos;t actually stop him because he isn&apos;t here to devour the world and end the kalpa. &nbsp;He&apos;s here for petty conquest. &nbsp;He&apos;s a broken machine who&apos;s SUPPOSED to end the world, but doesn&apos;t. &nbsp;When we kill him, we DON&apos;T absorb his soul like other dragons. &nbsp;Instead, his soul returns to Akatosh, to be reset and sent back to end the world properly. &nbsp;We don&apos;t stop the end of the world, we enable it.
