  I work with Solanum galapagense. A salt resistant Galapagos Island tomato I keep a seedbank of over 1,000,000 varieties and hybrids between different species of wild tomatos. I am trying to save as much Non-GMO tomato genetics as possible before it’s all contaminated.

  "So basically: humans spent thousands of years breeding the tomato to be 300x bigger, only for 1960s commercial breeders to turn it into a red, shiny tennis ball that tastes like crunchy tap water.

  i'm a old guy,80,with a big tomato garden.just down the street is a plant store that sells a wide variety.some for ketchup others from old prison farms,cherrys stay good and full until frost.big ones in many colors.slicers for blt's.the god father movie had a tomato patch ending.
