What's your favorite scene from "Mars Attacks!"?

My favorite part of the film is when the martians were walking down the street holding the translator saying "stop running, we are your friends". It just goes to show how futile it would be to understand the intentions of a life form from another planet, let alone reason with them.

To say this film was released in 1996, the CGI holds up really well today compared to other films of today.

Say what you will, Tim Burton is a freaking genius.

This is the first movie that I watched on DVD. At work. I had to test a new DVD that we were selling with a computer bundle. It came with the DVD player, some crappy games, and a copy of Mars Attacks. <br>Back then you had to have a mpeg decoder in the computer to watch DVD because the current video cards and CPUs couldn&apos;t handle the bit-rate of the video.

When Martin Short&apos;s character flips up the head of the sculpture to reveal a button that opens the secret room, it is a reference to the Batman TV series where Bruce Wayne does the same to reveal the secret Bat Poles to slide down to the Bat Cave.

The safest place to hide in case of an alien invasion is a supermarket. The noise from the speakers will likely explode the heads of any aliens.

When I was about 7 years old, I was with some cousins at their place and all the kids (most a bit older) were in the basement watching, &quot; The Brain that Wouldn&apos;t Die&quot;. &nbsp; The end of that movie features a creature busting out of a closet and terrorizing those in the room, eventually setting it on fire. &nbsp; That scene scared me more than most things I&apos;ve seen on TV! &nbsp;I was absolutely terrified but still, trying to look like a cool kid. &nbsp;I was literally too scared to stand up and leave the room.

Even as a child I thought this Movie was silly, because I had been exposed to Mystery Science Theatre 3000... It was still fun to make &quot;quips&quot; with My cousin while we watched it.

I love this movie. If I went out to the theater and paid I probably would have been pissed. Watching it at home on TV I was in love. What a cast! Every time it comes on TV I am there, watching as if it is my first time.

Not a word about &quot;Earth vs the Flying Saucers&quot;? Heck the Mars aliens must have bought out the used UFO section from that movie! Also the first movie that came to mind when I first saw this was &quot;Invasion of the Saucer Men&quot;.

What i love is that Jack Nicholson plays two different characters that are both killed. You can tell how much the cat had a blast making this flick. Since it was Tim Burton&apos;s follow-up to &nbsp;his masterpiece Ed Wood it was an Ed Wood type of film directed by Tim Burton.
