  RE: Elle being &quot;dumb&quot; for not seeing the truth in her relationship with her (ex)boyfriend - She&apos;s going off his words, and believing the things he says instead of thinking that he could be lying. They&apos;re in a relationship and she believes she loves this guy so believing the words he&apos;s said isn&apos;t too unrealistic. <br><br>Also, a lot of young autistic women see themselves in Elle, and the concept of her being undiagnosed autistic and having a harder time picking up on those subtle clues and instead taking most things people say at face value completely works within the context of the film.

  As a law school dropout we had (in my opinion) quite a bit of homework on the first day of class - <br>Assigned readings (about 100 pages per class), there were also either 2 or 3 research questions about it that the professor wanted written summaries for, or learning portal discussions we had to engage in. We learned fast that Work could be assigned at any point before class, so you had to make a habit of logging into the portal daily to see if a new reading was added.

  Didn’t expect to learn about how much this guy loves being a sub, but here we are, to each their own. 😂<br><br>Look at it from Vivian’s perspective: Warner has probably talked disparagingly about Elle for years. So Vivian doesn’t think she’s being mean “for no reason” and feels like she’s defending herself, the way Elle feels justified in stalking and pursuing Warner. She IS trying to steal Vivian’s boyfriend, and is very likely “the other woman.” Vivian is wrong about a number of things, but she seems able to admit that she was wrong, suggesting she’s able to change. <br><br>But no, being sexually “harassed” (closer to assault and coercion) like that, by someone in power, AND whom you admire, can be incredibly traumatic. One’s work environment is no longer safe and people almost always turn the hate towards themselves, feeling isolated and receiving, at best, no support. They have to process a lot of entirely new and jarring information, about their judgment, relationships, identity, and the perpetrator.
