I have taken a handful of private lessons with Mr. V. and I can absolutely vouch for him as a teacher. And based on that experience, you can't go wrong with this course.

Despite years of following YouTube instructors and a few private lessons with other teachers, I was what you might call a stuck intermediate guitarist. I had been playing guitar for 20 years, and I could play some pretty complex stuff from tabs, but I had zero confidence in a jam because I didn't really understand the guitar at a high enough level. Then I took a few lessons with Nicky. His method TOTALLY CHANGED MY GUITAR PLAYING in the best way possible. It was hard. He did not hold my hand. I put in a ton of work. But I'm a transformed guitarist and musician now. It sounds like this course is filled with a lot of the stuff he taught me, which means it is worth 150 bucks all day every day. This dude is for real.

Incredible, I'm buying this now.! Edited to tell everyone, Buy it, you won't regret it, i'm on the second lesson and He has such a chill vibe. I've bought and wasted money on so many books and been through teachers with no patience. Nicky has a ton of patience and he knows how to teach!

What is awesome about the course is that we are shown a practice routine to learn how to use the information and really learn it so it becomes muscle memory. So many tutorials of CAGED, pentatonics, give you the info, shapes etc, but not a way to actually combine and practice. Thank you for this course, which is helping me get out of the land of perpetual intermediate ....

I bought this course this morning and it's already been massively helpful! I found the sticking point he mentions pretty quick and now I know where i need to spend some time. What's gotten in my way over the years is knowing of things or knowing most of something but actually not knowing it completely or being able to do it without pausing to think about it. I get easily overwhelmed with the volume of info that's out there and distracted by the next thing. In the course of an hour a whole bunch of disconnected info started to come together into something I can understand and do something with. The format is great too- you're just sitting with a guy who has knowledge I never had access to when i was growing up in the 70's and 80's. I'm looking forward to working through the course. Thanks Nicky V for creating this and putting it out there!

Wow. I have been surfing YouTube for 15 years on “how to” guitar videos and this channel is the first channel that I have seen that actually provides deep value.

Professional web developer and 25-year guitar player here. I really appreciate you doing lessons in this format and pushing back against both the cinematic, popcorn entertainment video styles AND the online course platforms meant to keep people hooked with instant gratification. You become the guitar player you deserve to be sums it up. There are no shortcuts. And the good news for anybody reading this and feeling apprehensive, it's also not calculus. It's not even algebra. Middle school students learn this stuff and you can too. Nicky isn't kidding. 15-20 minutes per day, consistently, will put this fundamental information in the rear view mirror in a few months and you'll be blowing by the 20+ year players who still haven't bothered to learn this stuff. It will make the rest of your guitar playing years much more fun and productive. I'm not affiliated with Nicky. I just believe in what he is saying, have experienced learning this way myself and encourage others to take a leap of faith into a much more fulfilling guitar life than just learning songs. If you're ready to become a chef instead of only relying on recipes, this is probably worth a look.

I purchased the course and have enjoyed the first few videos. Like most of us, I have purchased other online courses, some better than others. I have always learned something from each of them, but not enough to get me where I want to be as a player. Each person learns differently and Nicky presents a style of instruction somewhat different from what I have experienced in other courses. I struggle at times with retaining/understanding some of the basics around theory, types of scales and chord construction but so far I have not had any issues with the material and feel it is helping me to improve and provide motivation to keep working on my playing. I can’t say if this course will work for you but I think it would be worth giving this course a try. It just might be what you need to get to the next level.

Decided to dive into this as well and so far, I am not disappointed. Nicky goes into detail without over complication and has already helped me better understand why I am playing what I am playing.

I have had private lessons with Nicky and he is an outstanding and thankfully for me a patient teacher. He also challenged me to become a better player in ways that I have not experienced with other instructors. I would highly recommend any course Nicky V puts together and for anyone reading this post, yes I just purchased his course a few minutes ago. Every guitar player should have what I'm calling Nicky V on demand.
