I am a noob. I will never likely need to REPAIR a whisker pole, but I will likely use one (especially since I own one). You outstanding video, however, helps me understand HOW the darn thing works. Seeing it taken apart and repaired. is invaluable. By-the-by, your technique for filming was outstanding, thank you.

Adding my thanks for making this video. Very helpful in refurbishing a new to me Forespar whisker pole. Had all the same issues. I also had to trim off a bit of the stinger pole as well. I would add that it is a good time to treat any corrosion on the poles before reassembly including the inner portion of the pole ends.
