Old Hollywood always looked so glamorous from the outside, but stories like these remind us that life behind the cameras could be very different. Seeing these familiar actresses again is both nostalgic and bittersweet.

Yvonne de Carlo was a beautiful woman. Patty Duke was a very good actress. Susan Hayward has always been a favorite. Barbara Payton was very badly treated by the press. Judy Garland’s life was a tragedy

Inter Steven’s wasn’t found dead. Her roommate found her barely alive. It was reported that she had a pleading look upon her face.
She didn’t kill herself as she just spent 2500 dollars on clothes for her new tv series. I believe it was accidental.
I loved her acting abilities but nothing regarding her marriage to Ike. It’s sad she had to hide her marriage as in just a few short years it wasn’t a big deal regarding mixed race marriages.
She was great in Hang ‘Em High with Clint Eastwood

Alcoholism is a terrible disease and can befall anyone Rich or poor..my cousin was an actress back in the golden age of Hollywood and she dranked some but wasn't a serious alcoholic she was more of a two martini and night cap kinda person but she was considered washed up by 28 because she refused to couch hop..and studios tried saying she was a heavy drinker and it wasn't so..my grandpa Darnell told me about his cousin Linda..so you have that contrast to this story similar yet not the same but the way the studios were back then can you blame them since some drank to escape the studios some because of them and they are all victims of Hollywood at the end to a point and I always liked Yvonne di Carlo but hated the munsters I'm more of a Addams family fan but I like old movies and they're all beautiful women that just fell on hard times
