  Recently my father faced a very aggressive bowel cancer and lost 40 kg in 6 months. He was an overweight man and became VERY thin in a very short time. Several friends and relatives praised his new appearance, saying he looked handsome. But he was living through the most fearful and stressful time of his life. I hate this romanticization of thinness

  Mark my words. The GLP-1 obsession is going to result in a generation of women with osteoporosis, hip fractures, poor aged mobility, gallbladder issues, liver issues and early mortality.<br><br>I&apos;ve said this from the beginning: it&apos;s too good to be true.

  I&apos;m a ballet dancer. We literally cannot eat enough calories, so my portion sizes are stupidly big. Yes, most of us are slender but we are strong athletes with mass on our bodies.<br><br>These celebrities just look ill and feeble. Stringy, emaciated and skeletal. There is nothing on them and it&apos;s disturbing.

  Celebrities always overkill trends. When being healthy and thicker is a trend, they get huge BBLs and breast implants and then when Y2K skinny is in, they take Ozempic, stop eating and look emaciated. It’s so exhausting.

  Seeing an older woman like Demi Moore getting deliberately gaunt when that would make her more vulnerable to basically anything, makes me so sad. Recently I witnessed an older woman die because her body simply didn&apos;t have enough reserves to withstand chemotherapy. The cancer didn&apos;t kill her, being super skinny at 70 did.
