Having a family to care about is the main reason I'd die in this scenario. I've spent my life prepping for seclusion and live in a place where I could easily disappear. But I have a wife and two daughters that I'd die the most agonizing death to protect.

The show is accurate. The people who survive after those first 5 weeks will become monsters themselves. Only thing left would be warlords and dictators and whoever follows them.
